Types of Hajj (Part II)

In the first part we at British Hajj and Travel Ltd have described the first type of Hajj in detail. Now below we have described the remaining two types of the Hajj:
2. Hajj Al-Qiran
Hajj Al-Qiran means that a pilgrim has declared the intention to perform Hajj and Umrah together. That is why word Qiran is used here as it means combining Hajj and Umrah. Most of the rituals of Hajj Al-Qiran are alike Hajj Al-Tamatt’u and Hajj Al-Ifrad. The ones which are different have been described as follows.
The pilgrim, who will perform this type of Hajj, will be called Qiran. The pilgrim will say:
“Labbayk-Allahumma labbayka bi-Hajjin wa-‘Umrah!” or
“Labbayka Hajjan wa ‘Umratan!”
“O Allah! I answer Your call to perform Hajj and ‘Umrah!”
Pilgrims, who perform Hajj Al-Qiran, are prohibited to end their state of Ihram after doing the Saee. Also, pilgrim will not have to perform the Saee after doing the Ifadah Tawaaf on the 10th of Zul Hijjah, as it has already been performed for both Umrah and Hajj.
Qiran are also required to just clip their hair after performing Umrah rather than shaving their heads.
Pilgrims, who have an intention to perform Hajj Al-Qiran, also need to bring the sacrificial animal with them just as our beloved Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) did. Pilgrims have to do this because the rituals of Umrah and Hajj were combined together.

3. Hajj Al-Ifrad
The third type of Hajj is Hajj Al-Ifrad. When a pilgrim declares his or her intention to perform this type of major pilgrimage it means that he has intention to perform Hajj alone. For Hajj Al-Ifrad pilgrims will say:
” Labbayk-Allahumma labbayka bi-Hajj!” or ” Labbayka Hajjan”
“O Allah! I answer Your call to perform Hajj.”
The pilgrims will enter into Ihram from Meeqat just as they do in Hajj Al-Tamatt’u and Hajj Al-Qiran and then, perform the arrival Tawaaf upon reaching Makkah. Then, they will proceed to Mina where they will spend the night before leaving for Arafat to perform Waquf.
Muzdalifah will be their next stop where pilgrims will spend a night before returning to Mina to spend another night on 10th of Zul Hijjah. The pilgrims will then throw stones at Satan, cut or shave their heads and perform Saee because no animal sacrifice is required for this kind of Hajj.
Pilgrims have to maintain their Ihram till the 10th of Zul Hijjah and then they can end their Hajj by performing stoning and farewell Tawaaf between 11th and 13th of Zul Hijjah.
